Pastor Ted Trisler

Our dear Pastor of 42 years, Pastor Ted Trisler, went home to be with the Lord (December 28, 2021).
This came completely unexpectedly, but we know that God is great and works all things together for good. While our hearts are broken over this incredible loss, we rejoice for Heaven’s tremendous gain, as Pastor Ted is now in the presence of our Lord and reunited with his beloved, Sharon, and his son, Teddy Wayne.
He was such a joy to be around, with an infectious smile and hearty laugh, and he gave the best hugs. You could always catch him whistling or singing a hymn, and he greatly enjoyed fellowshipping with others over a good meal. He was a huge lover of trains, with his own impressive collection and layout of Lionel trains that he himself had fixed and restored.
Of his 82 years of life, he dedicated 62 years to teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ! He had a heart of gold and a real compassion for people. Out of the 5 crowns we can receive in Glory, his favorite that he wanted to obtain was the “Soul-winning” crown, as winning souls for Christ was his life work and he loved every moment of it. He was a friend to all, and many were blessed to call him family. Faithful, loving, long-suffering, generous, loyal, dedicated, unmoveable, reliable, fierce, courageous, strong in faith, a fender and defender – he truly was “62 years a warrior!” Well done, thou good and faithful servant!
Thank you, Pastor, for your decades of service to the Lord’s ministry, for loving us in your special way, and for the countless lessons you have taught us. We love you and miss you more than words can ever express. We will carry you with us always as we press on until we are reunited in Hallelujah Square one sweet day!
II Timothy 4:7 – “I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
